Allegory

The pandemic has been a tough time for everyone across the globe. This project emerged as I searched for an escape within myself to cope with the massive changes and uncertainty shrouding the world during the pandemic.

#30blackandwhitedays was a social media series that was created where a black and white image/video from the my private photo gallery went out into the world accompanied with a small yet a completely disconnected description of it.

The intention of this series was to connect the past to a hopeful future through words of acknowledgement of the reality that continuously felt like an overwhelming trap. Creating this series was a cathartic experience for me as I attempt to break the sadness of the reality through weaving imaginative connections between consciously hopeful thoughts and random photos of my pre-pandemic life in my gallery .
